Flag of Saint Geowan

Flag of Saint GeowanThe flag of the Wessisc people is a black banner with a yellow cross, similar in design to the Flag of Saint George, and almost the same as the standard of Dûnein. The flag of Wight is the flag of Saint Geowan, who is the patron saint of Wight. His remains are buried in Newhythe Cathedral. Yellow, white and black are the traditional colours of Wight and the Wessisc people.

Lond a Vowr
